OSCE

Late night greetings to everyone! I think my OSCE is finally complete. Kim and Cooke are always a hard act to follow, so please be kind.... I'm excited to work on my day sheet. I'm still confused about QAs--any help will be appreciated. Back to work on Wednesday's presentation...Calgon-take me away!

  1. I think your quality assurance project could be anything you wanted - just as long as you could measure it (get data out of it). For example - your radiology OSCE. You could look at the average number of retakes in clinic - or the number of diagnostic bitewings (by pulling 20 charts). I don't know if that helps any! I created an evaluation form for TAs (for us), so students can evaluate us - as well as faculty. What we want to do with the data - well, that is another story!

  2. Cooke,
That helps so much. I just don't think like an analyst. If Kim isn't doing a radiology QA, I might just do the project you suggested. Also, after last class, I might just use that as my research also. It would be doable and quick. After going to ADEA, I realized that the scholarship piece is important too, not just bench studies.
